Biography

2017 (Senior): Appeared in 12 games, with eight starts… He totaled a career-high five points and two goals on the year, and a single assist… Both his goals came as game-winners in the first minute of the match, first during the 5-0 shutout of North Florida (9/26) and then again during the 2-0 shutout of Omaha (11/16), during the first round of the NCAA Tournament… He totaled 700 minutes on the year. 

2015 (Junior): Made 13 appearances, with nine starts…Registered two assists and ten shots, accumulating five SOG and a .500 SOG percentage…His first assist of the season led to the game-winning goal during a 2-1 win against Old Dominion (10/17)…Logged 925 minutes.

2014 (Sophomore): Played in 11 games, making eight starts on the season…Finished the season with two assists and two shots while logging 779 minutes of action…Logged at least 90 minutes in seven games…In his final nine appearances of the season, earned starts in eight of those…Earned his first start of the season in the 2-1 overtime victory over No. 25 Sand Diego State (9/19)…Picked up assists against South Carolina (10/8) and at Old Dominion (11/7).

Prior to SMU: Played for Solar Chelsea U18 in the United States Soccer Developmental Academy and Saint Mark's School of Texas ... Helped guide Solar Chelsea to a second place finish in the Central Conference of the USSDA in 2013 ... Took All-North Zone Honors in high school ... Led the Solar Chelsea 95 squad to state, region and Classic League titles in the U17 division... Named to the 2012 USYSA National Tournament Best Eleven.

Personal: Is the son of Doc and Sharon Lawson…His stepfather, Doc, was a professional soccer player for 14 years for the Dallas Sidekicks and the U.S. Men’s National Team…Plans on majoring in Finance at FIU…Was also recruited by Furman, Charlotte and New Mexico.
