2019 (SENIOR): Appeared in all 18 games for FIU, making 13 starts... The Team Captain recorded nine points on the season, including one goal and a team-leading seven assists... Tied for fourth overall in Conference USA in total assists, and ranked sixth in assists-per-game (.389)... Fired away 18 shot attempts on the season, including 9 on-goal... Logged a total of 949 minutes on the season... Had the game winning assist against No. 17 James Madison (8/31)... Had back-to-back assists against USF (10/22) in the 78th and 79th minute to tie up the match after the Panthers were down 2-0... Helped FIU advance to the C-USA Tournament Semifinals after scoring a goal in the Quarterfinals against South Carolina (11/13)... Logged a career-high 949 minutes on the season.

2018 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 12 games, making 11 starts… Recorded four total points on the season… Provided a crucial assist on a game-winning goal in overtime against Marshall (9/7) to give the Panthers their first victory of the season… Helped the Panthers take a quick early lead by assisting on a goal in the fourteenth minute of a home victory against USF (10/23)… Sagarduy scored his first goal of the season in the next home match against South Carolina (11/2)… His two points in the game against South Carolina marked a game-high… Sagarduy finished third on the team in total assists (2), fourth in total points (4), and tenth in total shots (10)… He logged 784 minutes on the year, eclipsing the total from his previous season.

2017 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 17 games, with four starts… He totaled nine points, with a single goal and seven assists… His lone goal of the season came as a game-winner during the 3-2 win over the College of Charleston (9/3)… He recorded three assists in a single match twice on the year, including during the 3-0 shutout of Ohio State (8/27) and the 4-3 double-overtime win at FGCU (10/10)… He finished second on the team in total assists and ended the season ranked second in the conference in assists and assists-per-game (0.412)… He totaled over 500 minutes on the year.

2016 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Appeared in five games … Has one shot at New Mexico during a 4-1 loss (9/30) … He totaled 91 minutes on the year.

PREP/CLUB CAREER: Played for Johnny Ramos and Matias Asorey for Kendall Soccer Club of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy…Served as a team captain for Kendall…Scored seven goals during the 2014-15 campaign…During the 2013-14 season with Kendall, played in 39 games, making 36 starts…Also trained and played in tournaments with the Athletic Club Bilbao Youth Team.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Inigo and Arantza Sagarduy…Has four older siblings, Gabriel, Maria, Beatriz and Borja and a younger sibling, Carlota…Plans on majoring in Business at FIU…His grandfather, Nicanor “Canito” Sagarduy played for Athletic Bilbao and Spain’s National Team.
