FIU -- 2002 (Freshman): Played mostly on special teams last season, then came on and started three of the last four games, two of those as a starting corner back...picked up 22 tackles (11 solo) over 10 games with a season-best five stops (one unassisted) against nationally-ranked Maine (10/19)...one of those five tackles resulted in a seven-yard loss for the Black Bears...had four tackles (two unassisted) in the season finale against Florida Atlantic (11/23) and three stops on four other occasions...forced a fumble against Elon (9/7) and had two fumble recoveries...blocked a punt in FIU’s come-from-behind victory over Albany (11/9)...had one pass breakup against Gardner-Webb (10/26).
Osceola High School: A three-year prep football player and wrestler who also competed in track of a year...had over 200 tackles in his last two high school seasons with four interceptions as a senior, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries...as a junior wrestler, recorded a 22-9 mark with 18 pins...was 17-2 as a senior...helped Osceola to district and regional championships under head coach Jim Scible...honored as OHS's Defensive Back of the Year and as an amateur, named the Kiwanis Club's Unheralded Hero.
