PREP: As a senior, led Putnam City West High School to the Class 6A girls state championship game for the first time in 14 years for the program… Named the Big All-City Player of the Year by The Oklahoman… Averaged 15.5 points and 8.2 rebounds in her senior season… As a junior, averaged a double-double after scoring 18.7 points and 11.6 rebounds per game… Scored just over 14 points per game as a sophomore… Earned Newcomer of the Year twice… Competed on Putnam City’s volleyball team for two seasons and the track squad as a freshman.
 
ACADEMICS/COMMUNITY SERVICE: Undecided on major at FIU… Volunteered with the Ronald McDonald’s House in Miami… Member of the National Honor Society in high school.

PERSONAL: Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma… Attended Putnam City West High School where she graduated in 2018… Daughter of Carnell Skanes and Joy Howard… Has two older siblings, DeJour Robison and Crimro Skanes, and one younger sibling, Acacia Skanes… Chose FIU because she had a great connection with the coaching staff on her visit… Her hidden talent is that she can sing… Favorite place to go in Miami is the beach.
