Biography

Sophomore (2006-07): Led Sun Belt and ranked 13th in the nation in assists per game (5.9)... Had a career game at South Alabama (1/4) in which she poured a career-high 24 points while hitting a team season-high six treys, which also tied the facility record at USA’s Mitchell Center... Ranked third in the conference in minutes played per game (36.3) and played the full 40 minutes in 12 contests... Recorded her first career double-double when she scored 13 points and dished out a career-high 10 assists against Florida Atlantic (12/21).  It was FIU’s first points-assists double-double since Faeza Bouderra had 11/11 against Seton Hall on Nov. 26, 2005... Distributed eight-or-more assists in 12 contests... Scored in double-digits 11 times... Grabbed career-highs of seven rebounds in games against FAU (12/21) and Middle Tennessee (2/15)... Came up with a career-high seven steals against Barry in the season opener (11/12)... Went 6-for-8 from the line against FAU (12/21), establishing career-highs in both free throws made and attempted... Scored a then- season-high 17 points and dished out a then- career-high eight assists in FIU’s win over Miami (Fla.) (12/5)... Tied teammate Lasma Jekabsone with a game-high 16 points against Central Connecticut in head coach Cindy Russo’s 600th career victory (12/23)... Had 20-plus points in back-to-back games with 24 against South Alabama (1/4) and 22 against Louisiana-Lafayette (1/6)... Nearly had a second double-double against Troy with 10 points and nine assists (2/8)... Led team in scoring in three games.

 

Freshman (2005-06): Saw action in all 32 contests, making 10 starts while averaging 24.2 minutes per game... Played a career-high 40 minutes in the WNIT victory over Cincinnati (3/16)... Led the Golden Panthers in three-point shooting (35-98, .357)... Ranked fifth on the team with 8.3 points per game while shooting .412 from the field... Scored in double-figures in 12 games, including a career-high 21 points versus Western Kentucky (2/23)...Finished third on the team in assists (64) as well as free-throw percentage, hitting 79.5 percent of her shots from the charity stripe... Stepped up her game during Sun Belt play, finishing third on the team in scoring with 9.9 points per contest and shooting over 94-percent from the line (16-17)... Perfect from the charity stripe in nine games: Seton Hall (2-2, 11/26), Denver (2-2, 11/14), New Orleans (4-4, 1/19), Louisiana-Lafayette (2-2, 1/21), South Dakota State (1-1, 1/28), Middle Tennessee (2-2, 2/2), Troy (3-3, 2/18), Western Kentucky (2-2, 2/23 & 3/6)... Dished out a career-high five assists in three games: New Orleans (1/19 & 3/2) and Middle Tennessee (2/27)... Pulled down career-high six boards against Middle Tennessee (2/27) and Cincinnati (3/16).

 

Prep Career: Played basketball for seven years and competed in swimming & diving for one... Named team MVP in 2000... Played for the Croatian National Team at the 2001 and 2002 European Championships, earning a bronze medal in 2001 and placing eighth in 2002... Also medalled at various tournaments with Źkk Medvescar.

 

Personal: Born December 12, 1985, in Slavonski, Croatia... Parents are ?eyko and Melita Ciglar... Father is a basketball coach... Has two brothers, Igor (24) and Ivan (14)... Nickname is Cigi... Named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List in 2004-05 and to the Dean's List in Fall 2004... Sat out the 2004-05 season as a redshirt... A finance major.
