Biography
Senior (2010-11): Played in 22 games with one start… Finished career as the No. 10 leading blocker in school history with 82 blocked shots… Finished the season ranked third in the Sun Belt for blocks per game (1.1)… Proved to be the game changer in 59-52 home opening win over Eastern Kentucky (11/20), giving the Panthers the inside defensive presence they needed with seven rebounds and four blocked shots to hold EKU to a second-half 14.8 percent showing from the field…Blocked three shots and brought down four rebounds in just 12 minutes against UCF (12/5)… Recorded five rebounds, four offensive, against Indiana (12/18)… Blocked two shots in final two seconds in heartbreaking last-second loss to Arkansas State (1/5)…Grabbed three rebounds in two minutes against Louisiana (2/9)…Played six minutes in FIU’s first 100-point game in 13 years, tallying two points, one assist and one steal against Florida Atlantic (2/19)… Recorded only start of season on Senior Day against Troy (2/26) and posted two points, two blocks, two rebounds and one steal in seven minutes of playing time to help FIU clinch its first 10-win conference season in nine years.
Junior (2009-10): Second in the league for blocked shots (1.9 per game)...started 18 of 22 games played...blocked five shots against N.C. State (11/13)...sank a career best 6-of-10 en route to career high 12 points in career high 39 minutes in overtime win vs. Western Michigan (11/14)...connected on both field goals and two free throws for 6 points in limited minutes vs. Florida (11/29)...notched first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds vs Barry (12/2)...grabbed career high 13 rebounds and added eight points and five blocks vs Memphis (12/4)...tallied 11 points, eight rebounds and a career-high seven blocks vs. Bryant (12/28), helping FIU break the school record for most blocked shots in a game.
Sophomore (2008-09): Played in 14 contests, all off the bench... Averaged 0.6 points and 1.0 rebounds per game... Scored a season-high four points and pulled down a season-best four boards at Arkansas State (12/17)... Dished out a career-high three assists at WKU (2/22).
Freshman (2007-08): Played in 19 games including one start against Lynn (11/9)... Averaged 1.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game... Scored a career-high 10 points and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds versus UTSA (12/14).
Prep Career: Played for the winning Croatian Under-18 National Team at the 2007 U18 European Division B Championships after placing third in 2006... Part of the Croatian team that finished ninth in the Division A 2005 U16 European Championships... Played club basketball for Montmontaza for five years and Novi Zagreb for three.
