    Volunteer Assistant Coach

Coach Craig Mooney enters his first year as an FIU Women’s Soccer’s Volunteer Assistant Coach. 

Mooney follows Head Coach Mat Dunn from Keiser, where he started as a graduate assistant for the women’s soccer team from 2017-19, before transitioning to a volunteer assistant coach position from 2020-24. Mooney helped coach the Seahawks to back-to-back NAIA national championships in 2019 and 2020, as well as being honored as part of the NAIA National Staff of the Year in 2019 and 2020 as well. He was a key contributor in five Sun Conference Regular Season Championships and three SUN Tournament Championships, and aided in the development of 31 NAIA All-Americans and 62 SUN All-Conference selections.

A 2014 graduate of Marketing from Northwood University (now Keiser), Mooney is a four-year alum of the Seahawks’ Men’s Soccer Team as a defender. Twice Mooney was named All-Conference while appearing in 61 career games with two goals and five assists.
