Vinnie Cainth joined the FIU women’s soccer program as the Panthers’ goalkeeping coach in 2026, bringing more than a decade of coaching experience spanning NCAA Division II, NAIA, and NJCAA programs, along with extensive experience at the elite youth club level.
Prior to FIU, Cainth served as assistant coach and goalkeeping coach at Keiser University, where he helped lead the Seahawks to the 2025 NAIA National Championship. The historic season also earned Keiser the United Soccer Coaches NAIA National Staff of the Year honors.
Throughout his collegiate coaching career, Cainth has held coaching positions at Keiser University, Lynn University and Monroe Community College, working with both men’s and women’s programs. During his time at Lynn University, he helped guide the Fighting Knights to the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Regular Season and 2016 Tournament Championships while mentoring goalkeeper Alexander Roth, who concluded his career among the program’s all-time leaders in goals-against average, save percentage, and shutouts.
In addition to his collegiate experience, Cainth has served as a professional club coach with Palm Beach Predators, developing goalkeepers and coaching competitive boys’ and girls’ teams across the ECNL, Girls Academy (GA), and Development Player League (DPL). Known for his goalkeeper development, he has worked with players ranging from youth academy prospects to collegiate athletes, emphasizing technical excellence, tactical understanding, and confidence in possession.
Before relocating to the United States, Cainth gained valuable experience in England as an academy coach with Arsenal Soccer Schools and as a Center of Excellence youth goalkeeping coach with Watford Football Club. As a player, he competed semi-professionally in England and earned professional trials with Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Dagenham & Redbridge.
A native of England, Cainth earned his bachelor’s degree from Keiser University and Master of Business Administration from Lynn University, including a concentration in Sport Management. He holds coaching licenses from The Football Association (England), U.S. Soccer, and United Soccer Coaches and is currently pursuing his U.S. Soccer C License.
