Biography

As a Junior (2013): Named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team... Anchored the Panthers’ defense and logged three goals, one of which was the game-winner against C-USA opponent LA Tech... Was tied for second on the team in game winners and logged over 1,400 minutes during her junior campaign... Had a .400 shots-on-goal percentage
 
As a Sophomore (2012): Earned 2012 SBC Second Team All-Conference honors... Finished the season with four goals, one of which was a game-winner... Her four goals were third-best on the team... Played 1,706 minutes
 
As a Freshman (2011): All-Sun Belt Conference Tournament Team member…Started 16-of-23 matches…Finished tied-for-second on the squad with four goals, three of which went for game-winners…Notched the match-clinching penalty kick in the SBC Tournament final against WKU (11/5)…Registered the game-winning tally against Denver twice, including the SBC Tournament semifinal on 11/3, helping the Panthers defeat the Pioneers twice in a season for just the second-time in school history…Also scored the game-winner against Oregon (9/18), starting a five-match win streak for the Panthers…Her only assist of the season came against FAU (10/28) which set up the game-winner in FIU’s 3-1 victory. Saw action in the opening round of the NCAA tournament against UCF on 11/11.
 
Prior to FIU: Three-year captain for the club team, BSC Portland 92G Black Elite in Oregon, which reached the state finals four times and the semi-finals twice... Member of Grant High School’s Oregon State (6A) Finalist championship team...  A four-year all-league soccer player, earning second team laurels in 2010, first team recognition in 2009 and honorable mention status in 2007-08... Scored 10 goals her senior year... Also played varsity basketball her freshman and sophomore years and named 2009 all league honorable mention... Member of the National Honor Society in all four years of high school... Also recruited by Florida Gulf Coast, Lamar and Eastern New Mexico.
 
Personal: Born Oct. 2, 1992... Daughter of Stephen and Stacie Volz... Has one older sibling, Taylor, who played baseball for University of Puget Sound... Father played basketball and mother played soccer at Lewis and Clark College.
