Biography

2018 (Senior)Did not play due to injury.

2017 (Junior)Played in one match as a junior due to injury. 

2016 (Sophomore)- Played in 14 matches, with the defender making 13 starts total on the year… Took 10 shots throughout the season… Posted 10 matches with at least 90 minutes or more, including eight-straight to close out the season… Earned a career-high 110 minutes twice, with the first coming against UAB (Sept. 30) and the second versus Marshall (Oct. 13).

2015 (Freshman)- Started 18 of the 19 season matches… Scored two goals and collected two assists for six total points on the year... In her first-career match, earned an assist against Dayton (Aug. 21)... Scored her first-career goal in home win over No. 14 UTSA (Sept. 25)... Took a season-high four shots in that match... Played season-high 90 minutes seven times.

PREP:  Spent four years on the Issaquah High School soccer team and capped off her final two seasons with MVP honors (2014, 2015)… With 29 goals and 48 assists in her career with the Eagles, she received All-State First-Team honors four times (2012-15)… Reached new levels of success in 2014 as she went on to earn All-American laurels… Twice she was named King County’s Most Valuable Player (2014, 2015)… Began her club career with Eastside FC (2007-12), before winning the ECNL Flight B National Soccer Championship with NPFC, where she has been playing since 2012.

ACADEMICS/COMMUNITY SERVICE: Majoring in public relations at FIU… Member of the C-USA Honor Roll for the 2015 and 2017 seasons… Also earned a spot on FIU’s dean’s list… Completed the rigorous Academy of Leaders program, conducted by the FIU Student Affairs Department… Volunteers her time with the Martin Luther King Parole program, while also feeding the homeless.

PERSONAL: Born in Iowa… Hails from Seattle, Washington where she attended Issaquah High School and graduated in 2015… Daughter of Sean Fryer and Traci Szemleus… Has one younger brother, Ethan… Father played basketball collegiately… In 10 years she hopes to own her own business… The biggest influence on her career was her club coach… Her pet peeve is Miami drivers… Favorite place to go in Miami is the Museum of Ice Cream.
