Prior to FIU: Selected to ODP Region Pool in 2009... A member of 13 team championships with the Kendall Soccer Coalition since 2004... A three-year letterwinner in soccer and played badminton for one season at Miami Sunset Senior... Named soccer team's MVP in 2009 and 2011 and the best offensive player in 2010... Finished her prep career with 82 goals and 80 assists... Also recruited by Central Michigan, Florida Atlantic, UCF, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington and Saint Leo University.

Personal: Born Aug. 13, 1993... Daughter of Hamlet and Adela Montoya... Has one brother, Hamlet, and one sister, Rebecca... Her brother Hamlet plays soccer for Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla.... Plans to become a teacher.
