Allegretti's hat trick leads South Alabama to 4-0 victory over FIU

Tanya Allegretti scored a hat trick as South Alabama (5-6-2, 2-0-0 Sun Belt Conference) beat FIU in women's soccer, 4-0, Friday night at Miami. Allegretti put in a header off a crossing pass from teammate Heather Adamus just 3:47 into the match, and then gave the Jaguars a 2-0 lead at the half with another short header.

Up 3-0, Allegretti closed the scoring when she dribbled along the end line through the FIU defense and beat goalkeeper Juliana Gomez for the goal.

Jaguar goalkeeper Amber Angermeier picked up her third shutout of the year, despite 14 shots by FIU (1-9-0, 0-3-3 SBC). Charissa Gingerich and Tamara Kochen each had three shots to lead the Golden Panthers.

FIU hosts Louisiana-Lafayette, this Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
