DALLAS, Texas – FIU women's soccer saw five players earn Conference USA postseason honors, highlighted by
Chinatsu Kaio being named to the CUSA First Team All-Conference.
Senior
Chinatsu Kaio earned All-Conference recognition for the first time in her career, landing on the First Team as a midfielder.
Kaio scored a career-high three goals this season after netting just one across her previous three seasons with FIU. Two of her three goals proved to be crucial equalizers for the Panthers early in the season, earning her first career CUSA Offensive Player of the Week honor for the period ending August 24. Starting in 15 of the Panthers' 16 matches this season, the Japan native also tied for the team lead with three assists, totaling nine points from the midfield position.
Junior
Montelene Dymond and redshirt senior
Grace Morris both earned Second Team All-CUSA honors for their performances this season. Dymond proved to be the Panthers' most dynamic scorer, amassing a team-high eight goals and surpassing her previous career best of four. Three of her goals came against Conference USA opponents, placing her fourth in the league in overall goals scored and tied for third in goals scored in conference play. The Canada native was clutch for the Panthers all season, with four game-winners—tying her for the conference lead. Dymond's best stretch came in non-conference play, when she scored braces (two goals in a match) in back-to-back games against in-state rival Florida Atlantic and Stetson, both FIU victories. She finished the regular season with 16 points, ranking fourth in the conference.
Grace Morris, an NAIA transfer this season, made an immediate impact as the Panthers' center back, playing all 90 minutes in every contest during the 2025 campaign and totaling a team-high 1,440 minutes. The Wales native anchored a backline that recorded four shutouts, two of which came against CUSA opponents. A dangerous defender, Morris also contributed offensively with three assists—one in conference play—finishing the season with three points.
The Panthers rounded out their conference awardees with two players named to the Third Team All-Conference list: sixth-year forward
Jayden Boelter and freshman
Roxy Brewer.
Boelter, another NAIA transfer this season, stepped up when it mattered most in conference play. The Kentucky native scored four goals this year, three of them against CUSA opponents. She found the net in FIU's first three conference matches, with her standout performance coming against Jacksonville State, when she scored the opening goal and assisted on the game-winner to finish with three points. Boelter started 13 of her 15 appearances, logging 60 or more minutes seven times and totaling 876 minutes played.
Roxy Brewer capped the list of honorees, earning spots on both the Third Team All-Conference and the CUSA All-Freshman Team. The Florida native was an immediate contributor, starting 15 of FIU's 16 matches and playing 70 or more minutes in 12 of them, including five full 90-minute performances. Brewer totaled 1,197 minutes on the season, fourth most on the team. The freshman scored her first career goal at Jacksonville State—a crucial game-winner that secured FIU's third conference victory.
In his inaugural season as FIU women's soccer head coach,
Mat Dunn led the Panthers to a 7-5-4 overall record and a 4-3-1 mark against CUSA opponents, earning the No. 5 seed in the Conference USA Women's Soccer Tournament. The Panthers will face No. 4 seed Middle Tennessee in the opening round of the tournament on Sunday, November 2, at 7 p.m. ET, broadcast live on ESPN+.
