Box Score MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -Dwight Dasher passed for 240 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for two touchdowns to lead Middle Tennessee to a 47-6 victory over Florida International Saturday.
Dasher, making his second career start, led the Blue Raiders (1-4, 1-1) to 47 points, all before half time.
Dasher completed 10-of-17 passes in the game for 240 yards, throwing touchdown passes of 14 yards to Bobby Williams and a 27-yard strike to Desmond Gee in the first quarter, and a 71-yard touchdown to DeMarco McNair in the second quarter.
Dasher also added touchdown runs of 22 and 1 in the first half while rushing for 58 yards.
The Blue Raiders rolled up 405 yards on offense while holding the Florida International (0-5, 0-1) to just 145.
Florida International picked up just two first downs while turning the ball over three times in the first half.
Phillip Tanner rushed for a game-high 59 yards for MTSU, which also added a safety when FIU punter Chris Cook mishandled a snap and fumbled it through the end zone.
Florida International scored its sole touchdown in the fourth quarter after MTSU punter Robert Billings mishandled the snap in the end zone. Chance Attaway recovered the fumble for the touchdown with 12:39 remaining in the game.

Tonight marked the first time FIU has shut out an opponent in the second half of a game since holding Maryland scoreless in a 14-10 loss on Sept. 26, 2006.
Freshman QB Colt Anderson completed the first pass of his career to Trenard Turner for a loss of three yards in the fourth quarter.
Chance Attaway's fourth-quarter recovery of a blocked punt in the end zone was the first by a Golden Panther since Cory Fleming recovered a block punt in the end zone against Troy on Dec. 2, 2006. It was also FIU's first non-offensive score of the season.
WR Kendall Berry's five receptions are the most by a Golden Panther this season and are the most by a Golden Panther since Chandler Williams had 11 receptions for 90 yards in the 2006 season finale against Troy.
QB Paul McCall saw his first action under center this season, entering the game in the third quarter.
Dustin Rivest's 53-yard punt in the third quarter was the longest of his career.
The 47 points for Middle Tennessee were the most ever allowed by FIU in a first half, surpassing the 42 points it gave up at Western Kentucky on Oct. 12, 2002.
Freshman WR James Rucker made his first career reception in the second quarter, good for six yards and a first down.
