April Perry Earns Second WPSL Team of the Week Nod

FIU midfielder April Perry has been named to the Women's Premier Soccer League Team of the Week for week 6. This marks the second time this summer that the former Broward County Player of the Year is named to the WPSL Team of the Week. She also received the honor for week 3.

April Perry has been unstoppable this season and is scoring at will,” said Marc Miceli, Kicker coach and general manager to the Miami Herald. “April is not even at the top of her game and continues to improve every game. April is exciting to watch when she has the ball, and she can put it in the back of the net.'”

This award comes on the heels of Perry leading her team to a 6-2 win over the Puerto Rico Capitals on Saturday, June 27 at Francisco Paquito Montaner Stadium in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Perry's Miami Kickers currently sit atop the Sunshine Conference with a spotless 5-0-0 record. The main reason for the Kickers' success has been Perry's stellar play as she has scored eight goals and dished out one assist.
