MIAMI (Nov. 9, 2011) – In honor of Veteran's Day, FIU is dedicating Saturday's football game to men and women in uniform and their families. Veterans, active service members and family members of those currently serving are invited to come to the game with a guest free of charge.
This final home game of the season against FAU will kick off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 at Alfonso Field at FIU Stadium on the Modesto A. Maidique Campus, 11200 SW 8th Street in Southwest Miami-Dade County.
To claim the two free tickets, veterans need to present a military ID at the University Credit Union Box Office at Alfonso Field at FIU Stadium after 2 p.m. on game day. Veterans will be recognized for their extraordinary sacrifice throughout the game, including at a special ceremony during half-time.
