CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (Nov. 21, 2013) - Three Panthers scored in double-figures as the FIU women's basketball team (0-4) dropped an 89-69 contest to the Boston College Eagles Thursday night from the Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Senior Jerica Coley registered 36 points on 10-of-28 shooting, while going 4-of-10 from 3-point range and was a perfect 12-of-12 from the line. The two-time Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and 2013-14 Conference USA Preseason Player of the Year extended her streak to 34-straight games scoring in double-figures, dating back to her junior year. It's the 26th time since the 2012-13 season that Coley has scored 20-or-more points and the 13th time she's scored 30-or-more. It's the fifth time in Coley's career she's shot a 1.000 clip on 10-or-more free throws in a game.

Redshirt freshman Brianna Wright scored a career-high 13 points, going 4-of-8 from the floor and a perfect 5-of-5 from the line for the first time in her career. Junior Zsofia Labady scored in double-figures for the fourth time in her career, adding 10 points to the effort.
Boston College jumped ahead, 15-4, to open the first half. Wright recorded the Panther's first two points of the night off a layup at 18:19 remaining in the half. The Titusville, Fla., native went on to score the Panther's first seven points. After being held scoreless through the first 12:06, Coley tallied a quick eight points off a jumper and two treys. BC went into the half leading 51-32.

Coley finished the final 7:56 minutes scoring 21 points and leading all scorers at halftime. The St. Petersburg, Fla., native went 8-of-18 from the floor and hit all three from the line. Wright finished the half with nine points, shooting 3-of-5, going 3-of-3 from the line and notching an assist.
FIU ended the half shooting 42.9 percent and going a perfect 6-of-6 from the line.

To open the second half, Labady hit both free throws with 16:58 remaining to cut the deficit to 57-36. Sophomore Katrina Epnere drained  back-to-back shots from beyond the arc just shy of 15 minutes remaining in the game to cut the Eagles' lead, 62-43. Immediately after subbing in, Labady hit a 3-pointer, while redshirt junior Arielle Durant went on to also hit one from 3-point land with just under 9:30 remaining but the Eagles kept pressing, outscoring FIU, 89-69.

FIU's 21-of-21 free-throw performance is the first time since the 2012-13 season opener the team has been perfect from the line (11/11/12, North Florida, 14-14.) FIU finished the night 20-of-49 from the floor and 8-of-17 from beyond the arc. Both teams committed 11 turnovers.

FIU next hosts the Thanksgiving Classics Nov.29-Dec.1. The Panthers open the classic facing Valparaiso at 6 p.m. on Nov. 29.
