Box Score Louisiana scored runs in the first four innings of Saturday's game to build a lead it would not relinquish in defeating FIU, 9-1, to even the three-game series at the FIU Baseball Stadium.

The Ragin' Cajuns scored two runs in the first, second and fourth innings and scored three runs in the third inning to take a 9-0 lead.

The Panthers scored their lone run in the bottom of the ninth inning when Roche Woodard doubled to score Mandy Alvarez.

FIU and Louisiana play the rubber game of the series on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. The special start time is due to the Cajuns' travel plans.
