FIU, which is playing its first season in Conference USA under new Head Coach Ron Turner, is1-1 all-time vs. UCF, with both teams winning on its home field the past two seasons. The game will be broadcast nationally on the CBS Sports Network, in addition to Pete Pelegrin's live play-by-play on the FIU Sports Radio Network, heard anywhere around the world on FIUSports.com.
Friday's game vs. UCF marks back-to-back home contests for FIU, who will be hosting the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats next Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. Single-game tickets to the Bethune-Cookman are now available. Next weekend's game will also feature Bethune-Cookman's renowned Marching Wildcats band.

Note from Florida International University regarding the UCF Game:
This Friday Sept. 6 we are celebrating our first home game of the year. The game, against University of Central Florida (UCF), is set to begin at 8 p.m., with the Tailgate Village opening at 4 p.m.
To help accommodate the thousands of attendees, starting at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, no vehicles will be allowed entry, exit only, to Lot 6 (east of stadium), and Lot 7 (west of the stadium). Lot 6, Lot 7, and Lot 24 (east of the stadium) will be closed starting at noon on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013. All vehicles must be removed from all three lots by then.
Furthermore, 17th Street that runs from the Performing Arts Center (PAC) to the Baseball Stadium and the section of Campus Drive that goes through Parkview Housing will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 5 p.m. on Sept. 6. Please seek alternate routes when exiting campus.
On Saturday, Sept. 7, we are hosting the Belen High School vs. Columbus High School football game. Please be advised of the additional vehicles and pedestrians on campus.
This may be a first time visit for some fans, so let's make sure that we make them feel welcome.

FIU's 2013 six-game home schedule features non-conference foes UCF (Sept. 6) and Bethune-Cookman (Sept. 14) and C-USA opponents UAB (Oct. 12), Louisiana Tech (Oct. 26), East Carolina (Nov. 2) and Marshall (Nov. 23). The 2013 Homecoming game will be on Oct. 12 vs. the UAB Blazers.
