Josh Anderson's 6-for-7 effort, the FIU baseball team reached the 9-0 mark for the fourth time in program history with a 23-1 victory over Florida Memorial on Tuesday evening. FIU collected 19 hits on the evening and hit three home runs.

Derek Deler, the first of his career. Senior
Ty Sullivan tied junior Mike Ellis and freshman
Chris Mourelle for the team lead in wins, as he earned his second victory of the season. Sullivan scattered three hits and struck out three in the victory.
Deler's home run was one of a few career-firsts for the Panthers tonight. Freshman
Kolby Follis tallied his first career-hit, which was a triple that came late in the game. Junior
Alec Beyersdorf also tallied his first career hit in a Panther uniform in the eighth inning, a single up the middle. Anderson tallied six hits in a game for the first time in his career, falling one hit shy of tying the school record of seven.
FIU has scored in the first inning in all nine games this season as the Panthers plated five in the first. Senior
Zach Sweety highlighted the inning with a two-run double. FIU came back in the second with four more, led by a three-run homer from Garcia to extend FIU's lead to 8-0 at that point.

Chris May recorded his first career RBI off a single in the third to left field to give FIU a 10-1 advantage at that point. Rios would homer later in the inning. FIU would jump out to a 17-1 lead and would make it 19-1 in the sixth inning on RBI singles from Anderson and freshman
JC Escarra. Deler's two-run homer in the eighth would give FIU 23 runs on the evening, the most since scoring 24 at UALR on March 14, 2009.
The Panthers head up to Jupiter, Fla. this Thursday and will take on the Miami Marlins in an exhibition contest at 1:05 p.m.
