No. 14 @FIUMensSoccer takes on Charlotte Saturday Night

MIAMI (Oct. 2, 2015) – The No. 14-ranked FIU Men's Soccer team (7-2) will take on the 49ers, Saturday evening at the FIU Soccer Stadium. First touch will be at 7 p.m.
 
Last Time Out – FIU earned their seventh-straight win Tuesday night against the UCF Knights. After a quiet first half, junior Jamar Campion-Hinds put FIU on the board in the 59th minute. UCF tied the game in the 66th minute. In the 77th minute, C-USA Offensive Player of the Week Luis Betancur scored his sixth goal of the season and led the Panthers to a 2-1 win.
 
Scouting the 49ers – Charlotte (2-3-2), currently fifth in the C-USA standings, fell to Wofford last time out. Charlotte out-shot Wofford (16-10), but failed to get on the board. In the 68th minute, Wofford scored to win the game 1-0.
 
FIU enters this weekend's action ranked No. 1 in the nation in scoring (2.89 goals-per-game) with the national lead in goals scored (26). Betancur ranks No. 15 in the nation in goals scored (6) and No. 2, nationally, in game-winning goals. Junior Jamar Campion-Hinds leads the team in assists with seven and ranks No. 4 in the nation in assists-per-game (0.75).
