@FIUHoops Faces James Madison at Barry University on Saturday; All Tickets Free

Panthers begin six-straight games in Miami against the Dukes.

MIAMI (December 15, 2017) - The FIU men's basketball team returns to South Florida for its longest "homestand" of the 2017-18 season beginning on Dec. 16 against James Madison. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Although the game is a home game, the contest will be played at the Barry University Health & Sports Center in Miami Shores, Florida due to scheduling conflicts with the Ocean Bank Convocation Center caused by Hurricane Irma. All fans will be admitted free of charge.

The Panthers look for their first-ever win over James Madison. The Dukes hold a 2-0 series edge on FIU.

FIU looks for its fourth win in its last five games. The Panthers won three-straight before losing to North Florida, 87-85, on Dec. 13 in Jacksonville. Hassan Hussein led five players in double figures in FIU's loss at UNF on Wednesday night with a career-high 18 points, while Brian Beard, Jr. and Willy Nunez, Jr. had 16.

The game against the Dukes is the fourth of nine home games that FIU will play during an 11-game stretch that started on Nov. 27, against South Carolina. Following Saturday's contest against JMU, the Panthers will return to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Dec. 19 to face Florida Gulf Coast at 7 p.m.
