MIAMI (Nov. 13, 2018) – To cap FIU's Fall Ball slate, the Blue team topped the Gold team 5-1 on Tuesday night, prevailing in the winner-takes-all single game series.
 
The Blue offense scored early and often by plating four runs by the end of the third. Blue also added an insurance run in the bottom of the seventh.
 
Gold's lone run came on a first inning homerun by Javier Valdes.
 
With Fall Ball behind them, FIU returns 26 players from a team that went 26-28 in the spring. A new season brings a Top-25 recruiting class as well, as the Panthers look to return to postseason play for the first time since 2015.
