The Basics
- The FIU volleyball team needed just 73 minutes to snap its four match losing streak, and did so in convincing fashion with a 3-0 straight-set victory over Marshall at the Cam Henderson Center in Huntington, West Virginia, 25-16, 25-15, 25-17. The Panthers improve to 15-11 on the year and 7-5 overall, while the Thundering Herd drops to 10-17 overall and 3-10 in C-USA, while also being officially eliminated from advancing to the C-USA Tournament.

Margherita Bianchin (Venice, Florida) and
Nina Petranovic (Polzela, Slovenia) each had a match-high 14 kills on the afternoon, while
Abbie Hughes (Mason, Ohio) recorded 40 assists and
Lina Bernier (San Juan, Puerto Rico) had 13 digs.
- The Panthers were dominant offensively hitting at a.392 percent clip, including .419 percent in the first set and .406 percent in the second set. FIU committed just eight attack errors in the win.

FIU returns home to face Middle Tennessee on Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. to start the final regular season weekend of the season. The Panthers will close out the regular season on Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. against Rice.
