MIAMI (March 1, 2018) – The No. 11-ranked FIU beach volleyball team heads north for the second weekend of the season to take part in the Florida State University Hampton Inn Capital-University Invitational, March 2-3, at the FSU Beach Volleyball Complex.

The Panthers, who are off to their best start in the program's short history with a 4-0 record (1-0 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association), begin play in the state capital on March 2 when they take to the court to face the College of Charleston at 10:30 a.m. in their only match of the day. FIU closes out the weekend on March 3, against St. Petersburg College at 8:30 a.m., and then against Stetson at 12:30 p.m.
 
FIU is coming off a 3-2 win over Florida Atlantic on Feb. 27, in Miami.

Following this weekend's event in Tallahassee, the Panthers head to the East Meets West Tournament on March 10-11 in Manhattan Beach, California. FIU will play USC (1:30 p.m. ET) and UCLA (5:30 p.m.) on March 10, before ending the two-day event against Pepperdine (1 p.m.) and Hawaii (4 p.m.) on March 11.
