MIAMI (March 20, 2018) – The No. 13-ranked FIU beach volleyball team returns home on Wednesday, March 21, to take on cross-state foe Florida Gulf Coast University at the FIU beach volleyball courts. First serve is slated for 4 p.m. The match will be the first of five that the Panthers will play this week.
FIU, 10-5 on the year and 3-1 in Coastal Collegiate Sports Association play, looks to extend its winning streak to five matches, which would mark its longest winning streak since winning nine-straight matches during the 2014 campaign.
The Panthers are coming off a 4-0 weekend at the Stetson Hickory Point Lake Bash in Tavares, Florida, last weekend. FIU defeated Jacksonville (5-0), New Mexico (3-2), UNC Wilmington (4-1) and the College of Charleston (5-0) during the two-day event.
The Panthers remain almost unbeatable at the No. 1 and No. 5 positions. The top spot of

Margherita Bianchin are 14-1 at the No. 1 spot, while a trio of pairs –

Florida Gulf Coast comes to Miami with a 4-2 record on the year following a 4-1 win over the University of Tampa on March 16, in Fort Myers, Florida.
