CHARLOTTE, North Carolina - (Sept. 20, 2018) – Sophomore
Ashley Adams scored her third goal of the season on Thursday night, but FIU was outmatched by Charlotte on the road as the Panthers fell to the 49ers, 5-1.
Charlotte improves to 5-3-0 (1-0 C-USA), while FIU falls to 0-10-0 (0-2 C-USA) on the season.
Charlotte jumped out to a 4-0 lead on Thursday, before Adams struck for a score on a
Kaydeen Jack assist in the 66th minute.
The 49ers brought the final margin to 5-1 just a minute later as Megan Greene scored her third goal of the night.
Charlotte led FIU in shots 17-12, while seeing nine on target to the Panthers' five. Freshman
Tamia Roberts led FIU with four shots on Thursday, while Jack added a pair.
