MIAMI (Oct. 13, 2019) - The FIU volleyball team fell to visiting WKU on Sunday, as the Panthers fell to the Conference USA-leading Hilltoppers to close out the weekend.
With the loss, FIU falls to 9-7 overall and 2-3 in league action. WKU improves to 19-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play. WKU was receiving votes in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll entering the weekend of play.
The Hilltoppers won 25-12, 25-18, 26-24 on Sunday afternoon.
Gina Lipscomb led FIU in kills, earning nine for the match.
Abbie Hughes narrowly missed out on a double-double after racking up 23 assists and nine digs. Last time out, Hughes earned 64 assists, which are the most in a single-match for FIU since joining the C-USA.

FIU continues its homestand with Florida Gulf Coast (Oct. 16) and UTEP (Oct. 18) next week.
