RUSTON, Louisiana (Oct. 25, 2019) – The FIU volleyball team dropped a Conference USA contest to Louisiana Tech at the Thomas Assembly Center on Friday night.

With the loss, the Panthers moved to 9-11 for the season and 2-6 in conference play. The Lady Techsters improved to 12-9 overall and 2-5 in league play with the victory. The final score stood at 25-19, 25-27, 23-25, and 24-26 in favor of LA Tech.

BY THE NUMBERS
Three players recorded double-doubles in the loss. Fiorella Murillo led the squad with 16 kills and notched 11 digs. Gina Lipscomb posted 13 kills and 14 digs while Sidney Henderson tallied 13 kills and 10 digs.

FIU continues its road trip with a match at No. 19 Rice on Oct. 27 at Tudor Fieldhouse. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
