MIAMI (Nov. 26, 2019) – The FIU men's basketball team welcomed Keiser to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center for a contest on Tuesday night. The Panthers topped the Seahawks 96-82 to remain undefeated at home this season.
FIU moved to 4-3 with the victory, while KU dropped to 6-2 for the season.
The Panthers began the game shooting 59.5% from the field in the first half to take a 57-45 lead into the locker room. Three FIU players reached double-digits for scoring in the opening half with Devon Andrews leading the team with 13 points. Defensively, Osasumwen Osaghae paced the Panther squad with three blocked shots.
FIU closed out the victory shooting 54% from the field and 41.9 from behind the arc in the 96-82 win. The Panthers held the 42-34 advantage in the paint while shooting 78.9% from the foul line.
Osaghae recorded a team-high 19 points, and defensively, the senior closed out the game with seven blocks for 163 blocked shots for his career. Isaiah Banks followed closely in second, logging 17 points in the victory. All five starters scored double figures during the win.
