MIAMI (Nov. 3, 2019) – The FIU volleyball team faced off against UTSA in a Conference USA clash at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers found success in the opening set against the Roadrunners but ultimately fell in four.
With the loss, FIU moves to 9-14 for the season and 2-9 in league play. UTSA goes to 14-10 on the year with a 7-4 conference record. The score of 23-25, 25-23, 25-21 and 25-21 favored UTSA.
BY THE NUMBERS
Gina Lipscomb tallied a double-double that included a team-high 17 kills and 14 digs. Abbie Hughes also posted a double-double, recording 43 assists and a squad-best 20 digs.
UP NEXT
The Panthers take on Marshall in their final home match of 2019 on Friday, Nov. 8, with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
