MIAMI (Nov. 8, 2019) - Despite winning the opening two sets, the FIU volleyball team couldn't hold off Marshall on Friday night as the Panthers fell to the Thundering Herd in five sets.

With the loss, FIU falls to 9-15 overall and 2-10 in conference play. Marshall improves to 16-9 and 7-5 on the year. The final score stood at 23-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-21, 15-13 in favor of the Herd. 

BY THE NUMBERS
Gina Lipscomb tallied a double-double that included a team-high 22 kills and 13 digs. Abbie Hughes recorded 59 on the night to round out the stat sheet.

UP NEXT
FIU wraps up the season on the road, as the Panthers travel to Middle Tennessee and Southern Miss next week.
