DALLAS (March 25, 2019) – For the second time in three weeks, Logan Allen was named Conference USA's Co-Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
Allen dominated on the mound Friday night against WKU going 8.2 innings of one unearned ball to push his earned run scoreless streak to 31 innings. He fanned 11 Hilltoppers for his fourth double-digit strikeout performance of the season.  
 
The C-USA Pitcher of the Week award is Allen's second this season and third of his career.
 
The preseason All-CUSA selection has posted a 0.74 ERA on the season and 61 strikeouts in 36.2 innings pitched for a 14.97 strikeouts-per-nine-innings mark, which ranks second in the country and betters the next best pitcher in C-USA by two strikeouts. 
 
Walker Powell from Southern Miss was also named Co-Pitcher of the Week.

UP NEXT
FIU will play a home-and-home series with Florida Gulf Coast on March 26th in Fort Meyers and March 27th in Miami before embarking on the longest road trip of the season.
