CHARLOTTE (May 8, 2019) - The FIU track and field program is set to compete at the 2019 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Track and Field Championships, held May 9-12 at the Charlotte.
Action begins Thursday with the heptathlon at 2:45 p.m. and decathlon at 3:15.
Friday through Sunday's coverage will be live streamed on CUSA.tv. Tickets to the event can be bought

The FIU women's squad enters the conference championships ranked 37th nationally.
Clarissa Cutliff stands tied for second in the high jump with a 1.85m jump at UCF. Cutliff has earned the Conference USA high jump title each of the past three years, and looks to cap off a historic run with her fourth-straight gold in the event.
Terrisa Russell's discus mark of 58.49m has her ranked fifth in the NCAA, while she also ranks 37th in the hammer. Russell is looking to defend her individual title in the hammer.
Gabrielle Rains currently has the 41st spot nationally in the discus, and looks to defend her title while
Asha James holds the same spot in the javelin.
On the men's side,
Reed Service enters championship weekend with the fourth ranked long jump mark conference wide, and 62nd nationally. Service finished seventh in the event at last year's championships.
Last year, the FIU women led heading into the final day, and had their best score (65) since 2014 - part of a fifth place finish overall.
