MIAMI (July 23, 2019) - The FIU women's soccer team announced the release of its 2019 schedule on Tuesday, as the Panthers get ready for a new season on the pitch.

FIU will host eight matches at its home field, with nine coming on the road. Of FIU's 2019 foes, North Texas reached postseason play after advancing to the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
The Panthers will officially open the regular season on Thursday, Aug. 22 on the road against Florida Gulf Coast with first kick slated for 7:00 p.m. FIU travels to Jacksonville State to close out the opening weekend on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The Blue & Gold will play the following two weekends at home as FIU hosts Jacksonville on Friday, Aug. 30 at 2:00 p.m., before welcoming North Florida the subsequent weekend on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7:00 p.m., and Dartmouth on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
The Panthers hit the road again for the next three matches against Appalachian State (Sept. 13), USC Upstate (Sept. 15), and UTEP (Sept. 22).
FIU has its first C-USA home matches in late September, as Charlotte (Sept. 26) and Marshall (Sept. 29) visit for 7:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. ET kicks.
The Panthers will spend the month of October alternating weekly between home and away stints. FIU travels to Southern Miss (Oct. 4) and Louisiana Tech (Oct. 6), before returning home the following week to face off against WKU on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1:00 p.m. After a road match against Middle Tennessee (Oct. 17), the Panthers will make their final two home appearances the ensuing weekend against Rice on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7:00 p.m., and North Texas on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. FIU caps the regular season schedule against conference rival Florida Atlantic (Nov. 1), as they make the short trip to Boca Raton to battle the Owls at 7:00 p.m.
The 2019 C-USA Championship Tournament will be hosted by North Texas in Denton, with action slated to begin on Wednesday, Nov. 6 through Sunday, Nov. 10.
