MIAMI (Aug. 21, 2019) – The FIU women's soccer team opens the 2019 season on the road, as the Panthers travel to Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday, before taking on Jacksonville State on Sunday.
The Panthers and Eagles are set to face off at 7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, with Sunday's contest against the Gamecocks taking place at 2 p.m. ET.

FGCU PREVIEW
The Eagles finished last season 13-4-2, earning a 7-1 mark at home.
JACKSONVILLE STATE PREVIEW
The Gamecocks finished the 2018 campaign with a 4-11-3 mark on the season.
INSIDE THE SERIES
FGCU leads the all-time series 9-1-1 against FIU, with the Panthers' lone win coming in 2010. FIU dropped a 5-1 contest in Miami last season against the Eagles. FIU owns a 1-0 lead over JSU, with the lone match resulting in a 3-0 victory for the Panthers in 2005.
JACK ATTACK
After an impressive 2018,
Kaydeen Jack was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team. Jack earned three goals and three assists in 2018, finishing the season with nine points. The Trinidad and Tobago native ranked first on the team with her three assists, while her three goals ranked third behind
Ashley Adams (5) and
Rayquel Berry (4). The honor for Jack marks the second-straight year under head coach
Sharolta Nonen that the Panthers have had a player named to the C-USA All-Freshman Team, with Adams earning the distinction last season.
MRS. WORLDWIDE
FIU sports 10 international players on this season's roster, which is tied for most on the roster with the homestate of Florida.
NEWCOMERS
The Panthers welcome 14 newcomers to the roster, with nine being true freshmen and five being transfers. Of the 14 newcomers, six are international players coming to Miami.
