JACKSONVILLE (Sept. 14, 2019) - The FIU volleyball team capped Saturday with a five-set victory, as the Panthers downed North Florida to conclude play in the River City Tournament.
The Panthers won in five sets, posting a 25-27, 25-17, 25-22, 27-29, 17-15 victory. With the win, FIU improves to 5-3 overall on the year having won its last five matches.
Gina Lipscomb led FIU once again with 24 kills and 10 digs to earn a double-double, while
Abbie Hughes earned a season-high 56 assists to go along with her 17 digs to post a double-double as well.
