HUNTINGTON, W.V. (Sept. 29, 2019) - The FIU volleyball team opened the afternoon with a first-set win, but were unable to overcome Marshall on the road as the Panthers dropped a 3-1 match to the Thundering Herd to close out the weekend.
With the loss FIU drops to 7-6 overall and is 0-2 in conference play, while the Herd improves to 11-4 and is undefeated against conference opponents. The final score stood at 27-25, 24-26, 21-25, 17-25.
Sidney Henderson led the Panthers in kills, earning 13 on the afternoon.
Abbie Hughes earned her second double-double of the weekend and her sixth of the season, after collecting 33 assists and 13 digs.

FIU finally returns home this Sunday after a month-long road swing as the Panthers host Florida Atlantic on Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. from the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
