MIAMI (Oct. 22, 2020) – Former FIU men's basketball standout Osasumwen Osaghae received an invitation to the Professional Basketball Combine (PBC). The Miami native was one of 30 honorees invited. 

The PBC is a secondary professional draft combine, primarily for prospects who would be selected in the second round of the NBA draft or become undrafted free agents. The PBC has a strong history of identifying under-the-radar talent and helping the prospects maximize their exposure for professional scouts. 

In previous years, the PBC was held at Mamba Sports Academy, but the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the in-person event.

Osaghae took home the Panthers' first-ever league superlative when the former walk-on was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year following the regular season. Additionally, he took home second team all-conference honors and led the nation with 122 swats, while the team paced the country with 210 total blocks.
