MIAMI (March 6, 2020) - The FIU baseball team fell to visiting Penn on Friday night, as the two squads opened a four-game series for the weekend.
FIU falls to 7-4 with the 4-1 loss, while Penn improves to 2-2. The Panthers and Quakers will play two games on Saturday, with the first contest beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET with game two starting 45 minutes after the final out of game one.
Derek Cartaya led the Panthers at the plate, earning three hits and driving in FIU's only run of the night.
Logan Allen logged another double-digit strikeout night on the mound, as the lefty fanned 10 batters in the defeat.
