MIAMI (March 7, 2020) - The FIU baseball team split its Saturday double dip with Penn, as the Panthers won the nightcap, 2-1.
The Panthers now improve to 8-5 overall, while Penn evens its record at 3-3.
Steven Casey tossed two scoreless innings in relief, as he struck out two batters to earn his team-leading third win of the season.
Justin Farmer played late-inning hero for the Panthers on Saturday night, as the junior singled off Penn's pitcher with two outs to bring home two runs.
Kaeber Rog scored on Farmer's base knock from third to tie the game, before Penn's pitcher committed an error that allowed
Derek Cartaya to score from second and put the Panthers ahead for good.
