MIAMI (Sept. 2, 2020) - The FIU men's soccer team was named the 16th ranked recruiting class in the nation for 2020, according to TopDrawerSoccer.com (TDS).
The latest release moves FIU up two spots after TDS slotted the Blue & Gold at No. 18 back in the month of May. FIU is the only Conference USA squad to appear in the TDS Top 20. Additionally, FIU is one of only two programs in the state of Florida to reach the TDS Top 20 along with UCF.Â

FIU's group for 2020 features 13 additions, including eight transfers and five incoming freshmen. The signees include two forwards (
Rasmus Tobinski, Vermont; andÂ
Kerry Sarmiento, Inter Miami CF Academy), seven midfielders (
Mauro Bravo, Iona College;Â
Kareem Riley, Florida Gulf Coast; Renato Kauzlaric, UMass-Lowell;Â
Jeremiah Edouard, East Tennessee State;Â
Coby Atkinson, Portland Timbers;Â
Tavon Mussenden, Atlanta United FC Academy; andÂ
Omri Ezra, Maccabi Herzliya FC), two defenders (Philip Hildebrandt, East Tennessee State; and
Johannes Vedin, IF Elfsborg), and two goalkeepers (
Johan Peñaranda, Pittsburgh; andÂ
Brison Moorhead, George Mason).
