MIAMI (Oct 1, 2021) – The FIU indoor volleyball team dropped a Conference USA contest to No. 21 WKU at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Friday afternoon. The score stood at 25-6, 25-18, 25-18 in favor of the Hilltoppers.
The Panthers dropped to 3-7 overall and 0-1 in league play. WKU improved to 14-1 this year and 3-0 against C-USA opponents.
As a team, FIU posted 24 digs, 20 assists, 20 kills and six service aces. Defensively,
Valeria Santos logged a team-high nine digs in the match.
Camila De La Rosa led the Panthers with seven assists and two aces.
Shannon Gormally and
Yaniris Miller-Green each had four kills off the bench.

The Panthers get ready for a rematch with the ranked Hilltoppers on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for Noon ET.
