MIAMI (Oct 2, 2021) – The FIU indoor volleyball team closed out its Conference USA series with No. 21 WKU at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers fell in straight sets to the opposition. The final score stood at 25-13, 25-18, and 25-17 in favor of the Hilltoppers.
The Panthers dropped to a 3-8 overall and 0-2 in C-USA play, while the Hilltoppers went to 15-1 for the year and 4-0 against league opponents.
The Panthers recorded 27 kills, 25 assists and 34 digs during the contest. Outside hitter
Giada Bianchi led the Panthers defensively with 12 digs. Bianchi also paced the squad with eight kills. Setters
Camila De La Rosa and
Autumn Raulerson each posted ten assists during the match.
UP NEXT
For the next matches, FIU heads to Middle Tennessee on October 8-9. Both contests are scheduled for 1 p.m.
