HUNTINGTON, W.VA. (Nov. 5, 2021) - The FIU indoor volleyball team fell to Conference USA foe Marshall at the Cam Henderson Center on Friday night. The score stood at 25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 25-15 in favor of the Thundering Herd.
With the loss, FIU dropped to 8-12 overall. MU improved to 9-15 this season. Both teams hold a 5-6 C-USA record.
The Panthers recorded 44 kills but hit just .083 for the match. The Blue and Gold had 63 digs overall with
Valeria Santos leading the way with 26 for the squad. Offensively,
Fiorella Murillo paced FIU with 11 kills during the loss.
Jade Sadeiko finished the day with four blocks, while
Lisa Luini tallied a pair of service aces.
The Panthers look to rebound tomorrow during the team's final regular-season match. The rematch with Marshall is set for noon ET at the Cam Henderson Center.
