MIAMI (Feb. 13, 2021) – The FIU women's basketball team fell on Saturday afternoon to the UTEP Miners by a score of 73-57.
Fujika Nimmo led a trio of Panthers in double figures with 16 points, while
Kyla Nelson scored 14 including four from distance to lead all FIU players from downtown.
Jiselle Thomas added 13 to round out the trio. Nelson also led all Panthers on the boards with six.
The Panthers were only down three coming out of halftime when FIU's offense went cold, leading to UTEP outscoring the Panthers 15-7 in the third quarter.
For the final road trip of the regular season, FIU heads to Southern Miss for a two-game set on Friday, Feb. 19.
