CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Feb. 14, 2021) – FIU indoor volleyball faced Charlotte during the team's first road series of Conference USA play. The Panthers dropped a four-set contest to the 49ers at Halton Arena on Sunday. The final score stood at 25-13, 15-25, 25-18, 25-10 in favor of the opposition.
As a team, FIU posted 34 kills while hitting .071 for the match. The Panthers logged 48 digs, 32 assists and three aces during the loss. Individually, Emily Meyer and Fiorella Murillo tallied eight kills apiece. Defensively, Valeria Santos paced the squad with 18 digs, and Natalia Martinez notched four blocks.
FIU prepares for a rematch with Charlotte on Monday, Feb. 15. First serve from Halton Arena is slated for 1 p.m. ET.
