Panthers Drop Series Finale to 49ers

Fiorella Murillo logged a double-double during FIU's loss at Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Feb. 15, 2021) – FIU indoor volleyball battled Charlotte at Halton Arena on Monday afternoon. The Panthers fell in four sets to the 49ers during the Conference USA clash, with the final score standing at 25-9, 25-13, 21-5, 28-26 in favor of Charlotte.

As a team, FIU posted 33 kills and 29 assists. The Panthers logged eight blocks and 47 digs during the match. Fiorella Murillo recorded 15 kills on .227 hitting during the game, and the senior added 10 digs and six blocks to her daily totals. Autumn Raulerson tallied 28 assists while Jovana Vukcevic led the squad with a pair of service aces.

The Panthers come home for a clash with Marshall on Feb. 21-22. Both matches from the Ocean Bank Convocation Center are scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
