MIAMI (Feb. 28, 2021) – On a beautiful
South Florida day, the FIU baseball team dropped Sunday's series conclusion 15-6 in 10 innings to the Miami (OH) RedHawks.
In his first collegiate start,
Orlando Hernandez pitched 4.1 innings and earned eight strikeouts, but received a no-decision.
The Panther offense was paced by
Steven Ondina and
Luis Chavez with the duo each claiming two hits and two RBI on the afternoon. Outfielder
Seth Cannady added two more runs with his base knock in the fourth.
UP NEXT
The Panthers close out the longest homestand of the season next week with a three-game weekend set against Indiana State on March 5-7.
