MIAMI (Feb. 9, 2021) – The FIU indoor volleyball team closed out its series with Old Dominion at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Tuesday afternoon. The Panthers dropped the Conference USA battle 16-25, 25-15, 25-14, 25-20, moving FIU to 1-2 overall this season and 1-1 against league opponents.
The Panther squad posted 41 kills on .132 hitting during the four-set match. The team held the 46-37 edge in digs, but the Monarchs had the 9-4 advantage in blocks.
Emily Meyer logged her second double-double of the year, posting 11 digs and 11 kills. Catherine Lederman paced FIU with 24 assists, while Valeria Santos recorded a match-high 19 digs.
